Unfortunately, as with any breed, not all Cane Corsos have wonderful homes for life. Many find themselves in need of new homes, or surrendered to shelters with reasons ranging from poor/inappropriate home placement by breeders, training, temperament or health issues, lifestyle changes, moves, or family changes. If you need to give up your Cane Corso or if you know someone who wants to, don't be ashamed but please contact us rather than placing your dog in a shelter. We understand this breed is not for everyone and sometimes a new situation in the home can make it stressful for the family and the dog. If you do not have the time or patience, or need to place your dog for any reason, please don't hesitate to contact us. We will gladly try to help you work through the problem, help you place the dog, or if possible take the dog into our Cane Corso Rescue program until it can be placed.

If you are interested in providing a home for a Corso in need, please fill out our Adoption Application to inquire about any available Cane Corso listed on our site. You can also join our Update List to receive an e-mail notification as new rescues become available.

If you have a Corso in need of a home, contact us and we will be happy to list it here for you. Many times the word rescue does not really apply. Oftentimes we can help place dogs who are well-mannered and in good health, but just need a new family to love and care for them or simply need a place to live in retirement. In this matter we assist as more of a placement service for people who love this breed and their dog, and simply want the best for their Cane Corso.

If you can no longer care for or meet the needs for your Cane Corso let us know and we will do our best to assist you. All efforts are confidential. We simply want to help the dogs.

"Tank"
Bull Mastiff Female, 4 months, Red Fawn

"Tank" is located in New Mexico with About Time Cane Corso. Aptly named, she has a very confident attitude and personality. Surrendered as a pup because her family didn't want to pocket the expense of her medical care, she has been here for a couple months on antibiotics while being treated for a major nasal/sinus cavity infection. She is spayed, current on vaccinations and worming, micro chipped, and ready to go home!

Temperament is awesome on this pup, she's got a lot of drive, loves to play chase and tug, but has a calm balanced temperament to even things out. Cats are currently ranked in the "fun-squeaky-toy" category, but we're working on that. While Tank quickly becomes very devoted to her "family", she is accepting of strangers and other dogs if approached, but aloof and indifferent otherwise. On public outings she prefers to relax near her "family" and keep an eye on things.
